Angel Fire

You're probably wondering where or what Angel Fire is. Angel Fire is a beautiful village located in New Mexico. My grandparents used to own a house up in the mountains there for family vacations. My family used to take us there during school holidays and the summers. It was so much fun! My family and I had so many great times up there. I had some of my best memories up there.
One of my most fondest memories I had in Angel Fire, was when me, my grandpa, and my sister took a walk around the woods. There were logs all around us, so we decided to build a fort with it. It was about 3 feet tall and 5 feet wide.  The fort's foundation was made of wood logs and we used garbage bags to put under it. Although, we never went inside of the fort, because there were a lot of ants on top of the garbage bags.
The most fun times I had at Angel Fire, was when it snowed there. One time me, my grandpa, and my sister, decided to go sledding on a hill. Since the hill was public, many people went sledding up there. I went down the hill so many times, and I never got tired of it. When I reached the bottom of the hill, there was a walkway back up. I remember my sister and I kept asking our grandpa to pull us on the sled back up to the top. He would take us up every time we asked. Even from this day, he said it was so tiring dragging us all the way up to the hill. Before we were going down the hill again, our grandpa recommended for us to tie a rope on the two sleds and go down together. So, we did, and in the end, one of the sleds broke. Me and my sister were a little disappointed that it broke, but we had a good laugh out of it.
At the house we owned in Angel Fire, there was a top floor, a main floor, and a living space downstairs. On the top floor, there was a porch that was above another porch that connected to the main floor. One time, my grandma was on the bottom porch doing a crossword puzzle on a newspaper, and me and my grandpa were in the room that connected to the top porch. In the room, there was a bed stand, that had a small water bottle on it. My grandpa looked at the water then looked at me and said, "You want to dump the water on your grandma?" I asked where she was, and he said she was on the porch under us. So, I grabbed the water and went to the porch. "Try pouring the water through the gap in the wood, and aim for your grandma's head" I aimed for her head, then poured the water. Unfortunately, the water didn't hit her head, but it hit her newspaper. She looked up and yelled at us. Even to this day, we laugh and tease my grandma about it.
A couple years ago, my family decided to sell the house in the mountains. I was devastated that they sold the Angel Fire house, but I understand. We didn't go there as much as we used to and it was sometimes scary there, but I still miss it. I love reminiscing about the memories I had there with my family. I would definitely recommend going to Angel Fire, if you are looking for a place to go for vacation. You might have some fun, spectacular memories with your family, as I did. Someday, I hope to go back there, and go to all the places I loved as a child.
